# The back of the receipt. Everything asked, line by line.

Conversational commerce, or selling inside the chat, turns a WhatsApp or website chat conversation into a cart, an order number and a payment link without the customer leaving the thread. Once paid, the order is written to the business's own order and stock systems. SilverCheckout does this on top of SilverReply; the SilverOps team installs and runs it.

## Orders and the chat

### How do you take orders over WhatsApp?

The order is taken inside the conversation: the customer writes what they want, the cart is built in the chat and the payment link arrives in the same thread. Product details come from your catalogue and stock from your own system; questions such as delivery or returns are answered from the knowledge base. Once payment lands, the order is written to the panel and to your order system, and its number and status stay in the conversation. Nobody gathers messages by hand and copies them into a notebook.

### Which channels does SilverCheckout work on?

SilverCheckout works in conversations on WhatsApp and in website chat. On both, SilverReply carries the conversation; the cart, the payment link and the order record stay inside that same conversation.

### Why isn't sharing a catalogue in the chat enough?

A catalogue shows the product; it doesn't close the order. Closing an order means knowing the item is in stock, writing the quantity and total into a cart, taking the payment and passing the order to the business's own system. When those steps are done by hand, the order is pieced together from messages, an IBAN is sent, someone waits for a transfer slip and the amount is matched by hand. SilverCheckout brings those steps into one record, inside the same conversation.

### How is selling inside the chat different from an online store?

In an online store the customer comes to the shop and finishes the payment alone; selling inside the chat closes the sale in the conversation the customer is already having. Their question is answered, their cart is built in the chat and the payment link arrives in the same thread. SilverCheckout doesn't build a storefront; it closes the order where the business is already talking to its customer.

### Does it work without SilverReply?

SilverCheckout is the payment and order layer built on top of SilverReply: SilverReply carries the conversation, SilverCheckout keeps the order and the payment. The same SilverOps team installs and runs both, and the scope of the installation is discussed on the discovery call.

## Payment

### What is a payment link?

A payment link carries the cart's total and the order number: once the cart is complete, it arrives in the same conversation and the customer pays through that link. What is being paid for, for which order and how much is written on the message, so nobody matches a transfer slip to an order by hand. Once payment lands, the confirmation comes back to the same conversation. SilverCheckout is not a payment processor; which infrastructure takes the payment is decided on the discovery call.

### How is payment taken inside the chat?

Once the cart is complete, a payment link carrying its total and the order number arrives in the same conversation, and the customer pays through that link. SilverCheckout is not a payment processor: which infrastructure takes the payment is decided on the discovery call. Once payment lands, confirmation comes back to the same conversation and the order is written to your order system. Questions about personal data are on the discovery call's agenda; the SilverOps privacy notice (KVKK) is at https://silverops.co/kvkk.

### Why are IBAN transfers and transfer slips risky?

With an IBAN transfer the amount and the sender are matched by hand, and a transfer slip alone doesn't show the money has arrived. A slip sent in a chat is only a screenshot, so someone has to check the account as well. The amount can be typed wrong, the reference can be missing, and the order gets written up again somewhere else. Because the payment link is created with the cart's total and the order number, the payment is tied straight to that order, and nobody matches a slip to an order by hand.

### Why do customers drop off at the payment step?

Dropping off isn't always a change of mind; when paying takes several separate steps, something gets in the way and the conversation stops halfway. Copying an IBAN, switching to a banking app, typing the amount and sending a transfer slip are separate steps. Sometimes the decision sits with someone else: the restaurant in the example waits for its accounts team to sign off before paying. When nobody can see who stopped at payment among all the messages, the order is forgotten. SilverCheckout keeps the cart and the link in the conversation, follows up an order that stopped at payment and sends the reminder in that same conversation.

## Setup and price

### How does an order from WhatsApp reach a stock or ERP system?

Once payment lands, the order is written to your order system and stock updates; the same order appears on the panel too. Which stock and order systems it works with is decided on the discovery call, and the SilverOps team builds the connections. If those systems are missing or scattered, the same SilverOps team builds the ERP and stock side too.

### How do you recover an abandoned cart?

An order that stops at payment is followed up, and the reminder goes back into the conversation where it started, with the same cart and the same link. The customer doesn't explain the order again or start over. A reminder isn't a bulk send; it goes only to that order's conversation. If the question goes beyond the reminder, someone from your team takes over, with the whole conversation in front of them.

### What does SilverCheckout cost?

Price is discussed after the discovery call. Scope depends on the business: how orders arrive today, which stock and order systems are in use and how the payment step should be set up. There is no ready-made package, no trial and no public price list; the SilverOps team installs and runs the system.

### Who founded SilverOps?

SilverOps was founded by software engineer Emre Dikmen. His personal site: emreds.dev.

## A question that isn't answered here is the first line of the call.

On the discovery call, each question is answered with your own orders in view.
